Austin Parsons

Austin was the lead content creator for 8020 Automotive from 2022-2024. Unfortunately, Austin is no longer on-board but he is currently working as an Editor for Car & Driver. We’re sad Austin is no longer with the 8020 Automotive team, but are incredibly grateful for his contributions and excited for his career and growth with C&D.

Austin may be young but he brings a wealth of knowledge with more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry. Austin holds a degree in Technical Writing from the University of Denver, and spent 5 years working as a Technical Product Specialist at a BMW dealer in Denver. This experience and background makes Austin a true technical expert. At 8020 Automotive, Austin delivered a wide-variety of technically detailed and informative content ranging from maintenance to repairs to track-builds and everything in-between.

His obsession with cars began at a young age with his Dad’s 1965 Ford Mustang. Eventually, Austin grew into a BMW-enthusiast with a knack for the classic 1980’s and 1990’s BMW’s. Austin developed a deep understanding and appreciation for cars thru his numerous BMW builds, including the clean E30 325i he’s recently been building. That car didn’t come with any body panels but it already looks infinitely better than Zach’s E30.
